Mould tend to build up in humid areas - including your bathroom. They make your home look bad and more importantly, affects the hygiene of the environment. How to get rid of them? Before you do anything, make sure you wash up the ceiling of the bathroom with mould killer. You can buy a bottle and use it according to the directions. It is recommended to wear gloves and eye goggles for your protection. After you have cleaned up the ceiling, wait for a while and make sure it is completely dry. Then buy a bucket of paint and a bottle of flood mould killer (for paint). Add the mould killer into the paint according to the directions. Apply a layer of the paint to the ceiling. Again, wait until the paint is dried. Then add another layer. Apply a third layer if you wish. However, for long term solution, you would need to consider improving the ventilation of the bathroom. Keep a window open during the day and adding a ventilation fan are options. If you are concerned, add a security lock etc for the window. |
